The amount of staff support you get it’s outstanding. any little question someone could have they would love to talk to you and help kids out. The staff also make sure they put in one hundred percent of their effort during school hours. Everyone staff member is always so cheerful, and eager to teach or help students out. Another amazing party about university preparatory school is their sports programs. I have been playing tennis for 5 years and have been on the highschool team for all 4 years. This was a bonus for me because I really like connecting with my teachers and having them know who I am personally. It is hard to goof off and the bathrooms are small and visible, so no vaping. The teachers care about you as a student and want to see you succeed, which may cause whiplash if you are coming from a very big school where you are just a number. There is one big bonus/drawback to this being a charter school and being so small, it's a hybrid system. What I mean by that is that on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays(for electives) you come to school and attend class, and for the rest of the week you stay at home doing homework. It was a bonus for me, but it may not be for you. Also, since you do spend about half of your time at home the district needs assurance that you are actually learning, so you have to fill out logs of what you do every day. Pro tip, ask to do electronics logs, they are much easier. No sports....
